Build Story: GLE 63 AMG Coupe on 23" Summit GT in Brushed Titanium

The brief from the dealer was short: a grand-touring stance for a client's 2024 GLE 63 AMG Coupe, no ride compromise, and absolute certainty on brake clearance. The car runs the AMG carbon-ceramic package, which rules out most catalog 23s on spoke profile alone.

The spec

We built a set of E01 Summit GT monoblocks at 23x10.5 front and 23x11.5 rear, offsets machined to keep the scrub radius within 8mm of stock. Finish is Brushed Titanium with a clear ceramic coat — chosen to sit quietly against the coupe's Obsidian Black paint rather than shout over it.

Each corner came in 9 lb lighter than the factory 22-inch setup despite the larger diameter, thanks to the monoblock forging and back-side pocketing. Load rating is 800 kg per corner, comfortably above the GLE's gross axle weight.

What we'd tell anyone copying this build

Two things made this car work. First, the tires: 285/35 and 325/30 keep the rolling diameter within 1% of factory, so the ABC suspension and speedo stay honest. Second, the clearance template: we machined the barrel against the carbon-ceramic caliper drawing before a single chip was cut on the face. The result is a wheel that looks like it was always supposed to be there — which is exactly what a GT build should do.
